Blueberry Farming

September 6, 2021

When we leased our building for operations, it came with a 2.5-acre blueberry farm. The trees were 6 years old and the average annual yield was 22,000 pounds.

We had no experience in farming with an irrigation system and definitely had no clue on how or what to feed throughout the season. So we called our chemist and he told us to use one organic product only. We used Humic acid.  It took 15 Liters per acre and only 2 applications early season.  After that, we applied humic 2 more times. Essentially once a month. Apart from that,  We used water only for the entire season. We did not use any type of any fungacides or pesticides.  In the second season we did the exact same but also applied a product called Queen B Wich is loaded with seaweed, micronutrients and vitamins! Well, we had a yield of 26000 pounds the first season and then 33000 pounds the second season. Not only did we get a much higher yield, but we also had bigger and juicier berries.  Using humic acid made it very easy for us as inexperienced farmers. The application is very simple and easy to apply. We spent 90% less on fertilizer products to get a better yield than the average. Most importantly, we were picking and selling berries a week before anyone.  The sooner you sell, the higher price you get per pound.  So humic acid can help you with early picking, higher prices and bigger yields.  It’s an amazing organic product. We swear by it.
